As if stereogum hadn’t give us enough already (including OK X, a tribute to OK Computer as well as Enjoyed (Bjork, Post) and Drive XY (REM, Automatic for the people) I have been listening to RAC Vol. 1, a set of remixes from the ultra talented portugese artist RAC.

RAC’s take on Hunting for witches maybe even improves on (in my opinion) one of Bloc Party’s best and along with pretty much every track on this set, Orlando Bloom and Manner To Act especially , are both remixed intelligently and respectfully.

They have been around for a while but God do I want one of these!

Undeniably beautiful simplistic design, hugely cool electronic music all wrapped up in shiny open source goodness… mmm.

Unfortunately getting your hands on one of these bad boys isn’t going to be so simple. Just two guys putting these together and the huge demand means there is no pre-order for the foreseebale future and although there are kits and free documentation available to help us build our own, just a look at some of those circuitboard diagrams makes me think it might be best left to the professionals…
