<p>They have been around for a while but God do I want one of <a href="http://monome.org/" target="_blank">these</a>!</p>
<p>Undeniably beautiful simplistic design, hugely cool electronic music all wrapped up in shiny <a href="http://docs.monome.org/doku.php" target="_blank">open source goodness</a>&#8230;  mmm.</p>
<p>Unfortunately getting your hands on one of these bad boys isn&#8217;t going to be so simple.  Just two guys putting these together and the huge demand means there is no <a href="http://monome.org/order" target="_blank">pre-order</a> for the foreseebale future and although there are <a href="http://docs.monome.org/doku.php?id=tech:kits:kit_assembly" target="_blank">kits</a> and <a href="http://docs.monome.org/doku.php" target="_blank">free documentation</a> available to help us build our own, just a look at some of those <a href="http://docs.monome.org/doku.php?id=tech:kits:kit_assembly#x4x4_wiring" target="_blank">circuitboard diagrams</a> makes me think it might be best left to the professionals&#8230;</p>
